All good things..
After a fantastic six days in Denver it’s time to head home. More video will be coming later this week. Stay tuned!

Photos from the huge event at Invesco are now online! I’ll have some video up later this weekend as well. We’re packing to head back to CT!

Rosa DeLauro at Today’s Breakfast
Here’s some video from Rosa’s talk at today’s delegation breakfast!
Sitting on line..
We are here at invesco! The lines are huge and we are a part of it :(.. We are hoping to make it in before the main event, at this rate we may not get in until about 5 pm local time.
Wednesday’s Photos and an Update

Another day with very little time to post. Yesterday was an electric night at the Pepsi Center, with a surprise appearance by Barack Obama following Senator Biden’s speech. Our own Rosa DeLauro had a speaking opportunity last night just after the roll call vote. You can read more about her experience at MyLeftNutmeg. A video, courtesy of CTBlogger, is posted below.
President Clinton was amazing, as was Senator Clinton’s motion to close the roll call vote on the floor. I happened to be in the tunnel leading to the New York delegation as she made her way to the floor, so I was able to snap a quick photo before she headed out!
Everyone here is fired up for the big night at Invesco field. Security is going to be tight there this evening and there are a bunch of restrictions on what can and can’t be brought into the field. Unfortunately one of the restrictions is on camera lenses larger than 75mm, so tonight’s photos won’t be as cool as the last couple of nights.
We have a ton of video recorded.. Jen Just has been all over town the last several days getting some awesome footage. We even got Will i. Am speaking about how the “Yes We Can” video came about. All of that and more will be coming later this weekend, we just don’t have time here to edit all of it together unfortunately.
Photos from the Convention
Last night, Hillary gave an outstanding speech. Delegates were on their feet to cheer her on and the energy in the room was amazing. Here’s a photo of Carmen Colon, delegate from Bridgeport, and myself.
Today, we had lunch at Coors Field which was sponsored by Senator Dodd. Seth Meyers from Saturday Night Live was there and yes, I also got a picture with him.
Day 3 Photos and Video!
No time for commentary (we’re on our way to a few events) but here’s the photo gallery and a video from yesterday:
And the video update:
Update from the Floor
So we’re a little more than half way through tonight and everyone is eagerly awaiting Hillary Clinton’s keynote this evening. The delegation is here and seated and excitement abounds.
The most fun this evening came from Congressman Dennis Kucinich who got the place fired up as only he can! Steny Hoyer, one of my favorites, is speaking now. He gave a rousing energy speech today that you can find on MyLeftNutmeg.

Hey All…
Got in the obligatory 5 hours of sleep – The hotel put me in a huge room with a balcony that overlooks office parks and faces east. The bed is comfortable so 4 or 5 hours sleep is like 8 (but I’m still tired)
At 7:30am we all (most of us) gather in our caucus room. Today ConneCticare sponsored our bacon and eggs full boat buffet breakfast. It’s a $39 value – ours for free – and all elected representatives have to account for that meal under campaign finance rules. We had convention updates, and a couple speeches – one from the ConneCticare guy who bought the meal and Teddy Kennedy Jr came by to say hi and give a Ted sr update – although he never hinted that Senator Ted would actually be in Denver.
John Larson also sang the chorus to the choir about why we need to work to elect Barak. John does that so well…
Every day we are issued our credentials. CT is issued a small number of guest passes and one of which is raffled off daily for to spouses, kids and friends of the delegates who are here in Denver. The others are given out based on a very complicated hierarchical secret formula that only a state party chairperson would understand. We may have as many as 100 guests seeking entrée into the Pepsi Center and everyone is scrambling to get access. And those with the most connections to work get in. Pepsi Center is smaller than the Boston Convention Center so it is much harder to get to the floor. They have issued “Perimeter” passes which allow you in the gate but not inside the building. Getting inside the gate is more than half the battle because you can find other ways to get in the door - …………………..and tickets for Thursday are even harder to get….
Delegates were also given FREE transit passes – a $37 value so we can ride the rails to convention or around town – thanks to the National Realtors Association.
Well it’s 2 am Tuesday now and I have more to tell but need my 5 hours sleep in the comfy bed. I’ll finish this in the am and send it out before I start the next adventure in DEMver………………….
